Air box or Engine Temperature sensor?
You sound like a smart guy, so... I think temp 2 is part of the air flow embly. You umption that it was tampered with to compensate for another problem is probably correct. Fact is, if you can't get the temp sensor replaced in your old unit, you will have to buy another. Setting/adjusting the "new unit" needs to be done with an emissions yzer to do it right. All else needs to be "correct" with motor before the adjustment. Smart guy can do it by ear. Get the temp sensor readings correct cold and hot, disconnect OX sensor, turn screw till just running smooth from lean, add a bit, connect OX. Also, you should be taking your readings at computer plug,as it checks wiring/connections at same time.
