Can alchohol cause a stomach infection?
As a forenote, i dont drink often. This occasion would have been the first time in approximately 2 weeks. Okay, last friday night i drank a whole fifth of jim beam to myself. Next day, common hangover accompanied my stomach pain and unable to eat i.e. feelings of omcoming puking. All of which is normal and was to be expected. But that night i had stomach cramps, more stomach pain, and food would not go down easy. The following sunday night, i drank a fifth of captain morgan. But the stomach pain and cramping hadnt resided. Now on a tuesday, the stomach pain and cramping are still here accompanied by "gas", cramping, and bloating. Also when i burp is smells just like every swollow when you have a throat infection, leading me to believe i must have a stomach infection. Any other possibiltys, maybe coincidence with the onset of the flu? Anyways i recently was prescribed antibiotics for a sinus infection so i will continue to take those with hopes of them helping. Thanks for feedback.
