Help Canary Yellow Carpet?

I just bought my first home and in one of the 3 bedrooms is bright canary yellow carpet. What color should I paint the walls? I like traditional style however in this room I would like to try something a little more funky. I want to keep the carpet and I am considering painting the walls white and putting different shades of overlaping yellow circles all over the walls. However I'm up for any ideas!!!!
